Before beginning my studies at CalArts, I submitted a design to the official pin and lanyard competition. My design was chosen for its embodiment of the school’s creativity and experimental spirit. I then collaborated closely with the production team to realize the design as both an enamel pin and a fabric lanyard. These items were distributed throughout the CalArts community and formally unveiled at the 2022 Pinning Ceremony. Witnessing my vision become tangible and seeing it proudly worn by members of the community was a deeply meaningful and inspiring experience.
